SOUND REVIEW
For music, the LG S95QR soundbar is excellent. Its bass range is quite boomy by default, but you can easily change its sound using the bass and treble adjustments. As a result, you can clearly hear the vocals and lead instruments in the mix and experience the bass rumble in genres like hip-hop and EDM. You can play your favourite music in bigger, more open spaces because the bar is quite loud as well.
With a variety of our favourite movie soundtracks, three things stand out in particular: how strong the sound is, how expansive the soundstage is, and how much dynamic range it can produce without distortions or imbalance.

The main soundbar for the S95QR lg soundbar with subwoofer is surprisingly small for something that can produce such a loud sound. While it’s fairly long at 1.2m (so is suitable for TVs of 55 inches and up), it is solid and evenly balanced. At just 63mm high, it should fit beneath most TVs.
The rears share the same stylish brushed finish for any of their bodywork that isn’t a felt speaker cover as the main soundbar and subwoofer, and they are also remarkably small for speakers that can produce three channels of sound each. They also have more style than typical rear speakers thanks to their angled fronts.
The subwoofer is, of course, more about function than form, but thanks to its rounded edges and attractive finish, it doesn’t need to be hidden as much as it does with most subwoofers—down the side of a sofa or under a side board.

The S95QR is more appealing as a component of a complete LG-branded home entertainment system because it is styled to match LG’s own line of TVs, such as the LG C2. This, along with its ability to share LG TVs’ audio processing features, makes the soundbar.

LG S95QR VERDICT
It’s unfortunate that LG in the UK has not yet lowered the price of the S95QR as it has in other regions, as it is currently much more expensive than the comparably sized Samsung HW-Q990B. Although the S95QR is more musical, the Q990B may slightly outperform the LG in terms of movie soundtracks and provides even more channels of real sound.
